Chili & Seasoning

Seasoning Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground pepper
Chili Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 29oz can (or 2x 15oz cans) tomato sauce
- 1 15oz can red kidney beans, drained & rinsed
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a medium sauce pan over medium heat and add garlic, cooking for 1 minute.
- Increase heat to medium high and add the meat. Cook until browned, crumbling as it cooks.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and beans.
- Mix seasoning ingredients together and stir into meat mixture.
- Bring to a boil and then lower to a simmer.
- Cover, stirring occassionally, for at least 15 minutes.
Serve by itself or over a dish such as rice or spaghetti. Sprinkle with your favorite cheese if desired.
